I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to express my concern regarding the continuation of board examinations in the current global situation. As students, we understand the importance of academic assessment; however, the ongoing geopolitical tensions, particularly the escalating conflict involving Iran and the United States, have created an atmosphere of uncertainty and anxiety that cannot be ignored.
Recent developments indicate a significant rise in military activity and threats, with reports of increased troop deployment and warnings of potential escalation. This has not only affected global stability but has also had a psychological impact on students, especially those residing in regions close to potential conflict zones. The Middle East is currently facing heightened uncertainty, and the possibility of sudden disruption cannot be dismissed.
In such circumstances, it becomes increasingly difficult for students to focus effectively on their studies and perform to their true potential. Education is important, but it should not come at the cost of students’ mental well-being and sense of safety. At present, many students are experiencing stress and fear due to the unpredictable nature of the situation.
Therefore, I respectfully request that the examination board consider conducting mock examinations online to reduce pressure and ensure accessibility. Additionally, I urge serious consideration of postponing or cancelling board examinations until the situation stabilises. This would allow students to prepare in a more secure and supportive environment.
This request is not made lightly, but rather out of genuine concern for the safety, mental health, and fairness for all students. In times like these, prioritising human well-being over academic schedules reflects compassion and responsible decision-making.
Thank you for your time and understanding. I sincerely hope that this matter will be considered with the seriousness it deserves.

Dear Exam People,As exams tend to infinity, my will to live tends to zero.My revision function is undefined at every point.I attempted a past paper and reached a limit that does not exist. My brain has diverged. My motivation is asymptotic to zero. My grades are approaching imaginary numbers.Given the current presence of missiles, I believe the situation is no longer within the domain of the syllabus.
Therefore, by basic mathematical reasoning, the only logical solution is to cancel the exams.Yours continuously decreasing,A student

Please cancel these exams as we are unable to concentrate while studying during this time and there are constant alerts etc. It does not make sense to bring us to school and risk our lives just to sit exams like its unfair compared to those who are sitting exams normally. God forbid, what if something happens while we are doing our exams will it be your responsibility?

I am writing to respectfully request consideration regarding the A-Level examinations. I fully understand the importance of these exams and the role they play in assessing academic progress. However, I would like to express my concerns about the significant pressure and impact they have had on students.
Over time, the intensity and high stakes associated with A-Levels have created considerable stress, compounded by the on going situation, roaring the skies, which can affect not only academic performance but also students’ well-being. Many students feel that a single set of exams does not fully reflect their abilities, efforts, or potential developed over years of study.
I sincerely believe that exploring alternative or more balanced assessment methods could provide a fairer and more accurate evaluation of students. This could include a greater emphasis on coursework, continuous assessment, or a combination of different evaluation approaches.
I make this request with genuine respect for the education system and those who work hard to uphold it. My intention is not to dismiss its value, but to encourage consideration of how it might better support students both academically and personally.
Thank you very much for your time and understanding. I would greatly appreciate any consideration given to this matter.
Yours sincerely,
someone who takes further math

A-levels are meant to test our true ability and everything we’ve learned over two years, but the current situation makes that almost impossible. With constant alerts, interruptions, and an ongoing sense of uncertainty, it’s really hard to stay calm and focused, which are both essential for performing well in exams. Revision already requires a lot of concentration and consistency, but these conditions make it difficult to even maintain a clear train of thought, let alone prepare effectively. The added stress and anxiety mean that students aren’t able to work at their full potential, so the results wouldn’t accurately reflect our real capabilities. Instead of testing our knowledge and skills, the exams would end up measuring how well we can cope under pressure in unstable conditions, which isn’t what A-levels are supposed to represent.
