In the middle, cannot study due to the amount of stress the constant bombing and drone strikes that happen daily and nightly.

Edexcel I have genuine traume from the things I have seen. I have seen drones hit buildings and burn to the ground. I cannot close my eyes without replaying this image in my head and without hearing the sound of the Shahed 136 drone. I jump at every loud sound, and I get near panic attacks at the sound of firecrackers, planes or jets. Please cancel these exams. I cannot sleep, let alone study.

I Mohammed Zayan Abid Kaimkhani am a Pearson Edexcel A Level student, and the current situation has made it extremely difficult to keep up with my academics. Due to ongoing disruptions, I have been unable to properly attend and engage in online classes, which means I am missing crucial learning at a very important stage of my education. It’s frustrating to feel myself falling behind despite trying to stay consistent. With IB and CBSE exams being cancelled, it feels unfair that Edexcel students are expected to continue under the same conditions while facing similar disruptions. I sincerely hope for understanding and consideration, as this situation is having a real impact on my academic progress.

i think it is extremely unjust that our children may have to sit exams in such stressful atmospheres and as well as having minimal preparation due to nearly a months worth of online school

Online learning isn't effective to prepare for board exams

At a time of uncertainty wellbeing and physical safety should be a priority. The stress of a huge 8 week pause from studies in the most crucial period before exams is not to be ignored. Now online school continues till the 20th of April if not extended further, where looking at the current situation and news happening around the region is likely to happen. Now canceling exams can help to boards focus on giving students the grades they deserve and would’ve likely achieved while students can focus on their and their families safety and what they will do for university.
