I truly believe the examinations should either get cancelled or postponed, not just beacuse its unsafe to leave the house but also as our learning time is being disrupted due to the environment around around us, many of us are facing mental distress and i believe the grades and performance may be affected due to this.

The ongoing war has created a stressful and uncertain environment that can seriously affect students’ ability to focus, prepare, and perform well in high-stakes exams like IGCSEs. Many students may be dealing with anxiety, disrupted routines, or even direct impacts on their families and communities, making it unfair to judge their academic performance under such conditions. Education systems are meant to support students’ growth, not add pressure during already difficult times. Cancelling or postponing IGCSE exams in the UAE would allow students to prioritize their well-being and safety while ensuring that their academic futures are not defined by circumstances beyond their control.

This conflict has had a huge impact on my life,Someone who last year used to be so locked in IGCSE when the exams were getting closer but now I can’t focus on my AS level due to this issue.
You have to understand that we are humans after all,That your making us write exams in soo much pressure that will determine our future and either we can’t focus too.
So understand us.

I, Hamza, am signing this petition with a heavy heart and a mind overwhelmed by fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion. This is not just about exams anymore — this is about our safety, our mental well-being, and our right to feel human in a time of crisis.
Every day, we are living under the shadow of missiles and drones. The sound of sirens, the constant anxiety, the fear of what might happen next — these are not conditions anyone should be expected to study under. We are trying to memorize formulas and write essays while our hearts race at every distant noise, wondering if we and our families are safe.
How can we be expected to perform at our best when we are barely holding ourselves together?
A-Level examinations are meant to test our knowledge and hard work, not our ability to endure fear and trauma. Right now, students across the Middle East are not in a position of stability — we are in survival mode. Sleep is disrupted, concentration is shattered, and emotional distress has become a daily reality.
We are not asking for special treatment — we are asking for understanding, compassion, and fairness.
Please, hear our voices. Please recognize that behind every candidate number is a human being dealing with circumstances far beyond their control. Forcing students to sit these exams under such conditions is not just unfair — it is inhumane.
I urge you to cancel the A-Level examinations in the Middle East or provide an alternative that reflects the reality we are living in.
We deserve safety. We deserve peace of mind. And above all, we deserve to be treated with humanity.
