Please cancel A-Levels in Dubai. Many students are scared and stressed, and with everything going on it’s very hard to focus or study. Online learning isn’t the same, and a lot of us can’t properly learn in these conditions. It’s unfair to continue with high-stakes exams when students don’t have a stable or safe environment. Students’ wellbeing should come first.

Over the past few weeks, preparing for my A levels in Dubai has become overwhelming and unfair. My school suddenly moved online, which has disrupted my learning and made it much harder to stay focused and keep up with content. Lessons feel less effective, and I am not receiving the same level of support I would in person. At the same time, the ongoing situation around us has created constant stress and uncertainty. It is difficult to concentrate on revision when I am worried about what is happening and whether exams will even go ahead. My motivation has dropped, my routine is broken, and I feel far less prepared than I should be at this stage. A levels are meant to reflect my ability, but right now they reflect the situation I am stuck in. Sitting these exams under these conditions would not be a fair test of what I can do.

i feel like my learning has been genuinely affected by the current situation. online with missile disturbances every few minutes does not create an environment that supports my learning and preparation for these exams

The situation here in the UAE has us students nervous as it is, even our parents agree that we should be going abroad away from the country to be safe. Exams at these times are terrible timing.
