I feel like exams are just not worth it anymore, everything that is happening is leading to the idea of a world war happening. Sounds of drones and bombs around are distractions from my studies. Its not worth it anymore

Exams should be cancelled. Students in war zones cannot be expected to perform at the same level as those in safe countries. Holding them now creates an unfair playing field and adds immense mental strain to an already traumatic situation.

Cancel the externals, students are going through a time of uncertainty and anxiety.

There is not enough time to prepare, and its unnecessary stress considering the coursework we've already done.

The principles of fairness, proportionality, and equity in assessment — which underpin the IB’s own academic integrity frameworks — require that students are not penalised for circumstances they did not cause and cannot control.
V. Our Petition: A Dual-Pathway Solution
We do not ask the IB to lower its standards. We ask it to apply its own frameworks, equitably, to extraordinary circumstances.
We respectfully but urgently petition the IB to implement the following:
Please accept the Predicted Grade Diploma Pathway for all May 2026 candidates in the affected region who are unable to sit examinations due to force majeure circumstances arising from the regional conflict.

i hear bombs everyday in the UAE plus the alarms that double the stress PLUS the stress that’s already there to study for the exams. I genuinely cannot do these exams, and if we end up doing them I wouldn’t even be able to give above 70% of my effort

Due to the current situation in my region I feel it’s unjust for us to continue with the IB exams in may.
