Dear College Board, I am writing to formally express serious concern regarding the administration of AP exams in the Middle East given the current regional conflict and instability. Students across affected areas are facing circumstances that make fair and safe testing extremely difficult. These challenges include disruptions to schooling, safety risks, emotional stress, limited access to testing centers, and uncertainty about travel and logistics. Under such conditions, it is not possible for many students to perform to the best of their abilities or even attend exams safely. AP exams are meant to reflect students’ academic knowledge and effort. However, the current situation creates an uneven and unfair testing environment that disadvantages students in impacted regions compared to those in more stable conditions. We respectfully request that the College Board consider one or more of the following actions: - Cancel AP exams in affected Middle Eastern regions - Offer a fully online alternative for students unable to attend in person - Provide automatic refunds for all registered students in impacted areas - Implement a flexible or alternative assessment method that accounts for these extraordinary circumstances Students have worked hard throughout the year, and they deserve a fair opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge without being put at risk or under extreme stress. IB and British have already cancelled. I would urge everyone to get parents to email school and put pressure to cancel AP exams. Really not fair circumstances.
