It is becoming obvious that the tenets of truthfulness is not being followed by the National Board. I am at a loss to understand why.

I support my fellow ADS members in requesting from the current Board of Directors to rise up to their responsibilities, and conduct business of the ADS according to bylaws. It is very alarming to see the ADS Bard reach this level of irresponsiblie behavior, and lack of professionalism.

What is asked for must be readily available to the ADS membership. There should not be a need for a petition. If a governing body does not act responsibly in this matter or any other matter, whoever is on the governing body at any time, as has been happening lately, petitions and requests without any other means will have the same fate as other requests. So, I am signing this petition and I am not expecting much having seen what I have seen thus far. I am signing this petition to simply line up with what is right, and for the board members who have a sense of responsbility to know there are dissatisfied people with the lack of response, and the level of disrespect that the board consciously or unconsiously is showing the community it is governing, hoping the sense of reposnbility will be awakened and board members will express their views and help the board move in the right direction. Otherwise, the actions or lack of here will continue to drag the organization down now and through the upcoming board as most of the board will remain in effect. So, please, act up, follow the bylaws, your resposnibility to the community and use your conscious.

A society's bylaws are the legal document that dictates how the society must be governed. They are to be respected at all times to safeguard the integrity of the society and the faith of its members in it. Failure by a board to follow the stipulations outlined in the bylaws of a society can yield serious consequences. As good standing members of the ADS society, what has it been 6 months to reply to your concern members?

Dear board members, current president of ADS, Next president Rima and all that have pledged to serve and uphold the ADS bylaws. Stand up and be counted , you preached transparency and went out of your way to hold others accountable. Apply same principals to yourselves, you still have time to come out clean.

In my opinion, the ADS has sunk to a new low! For prominent members to have to ask for their rightful documents as paid members from the society through a petition, is outrageous. Not-for-profit organizations are supposed to have transparent governance. They are supposed to work for the betterment of the membership, not occupy positions as boasting rights. One would ask, what is so secretive about these meetings that the board does not want the membership to know about? One cannot help but think of the worst, that schemes and conspiracies are being concocted during these meetings instead of working to further the society as a whole and improve the membership benefits. As for the financial information, perhaps the board is not aware that when the society files in Form 990 tax return, this becomes a public document that anyone can obtain a copy. So, it is only a matter of time before people will have access to this information. I urge the board to do the right thing, for once, and post all the requested documents. We need to unite our community, not divide it over such a trivial matter.
