Children are our future. A public inquiry is essential as it assigns no blame, but determines better than any other process what actions need to be taken in a given situation.

In my honest opinion, I feel that the Roundtable discussion was very limited in impacting positive outcomes for the future and was disappointed that few public members were included. Exclusion of victims who can readily identify systematic flaws and offer viable solution is a tremendously dismal forecast that follow-through with promise of implementing better child welfare safeguards will actually occur.

There would be no question about an investigation of these childrne died outside of "care". That the public needs to intervene and apply pressure is disturbingly telling.

For the sake of the children in foster care and for every Albertan we must have the ugly truth revealed. If the people of this province are to have any faith in any government bureaucracy there must be accountability to the electorate.

Why should the innocent die without anything being done.
