This message is meant to be sent by most of Year 2 parents going to Year 3.

we received the introduction videos of the teachers for the next academic year and most of the parents were disappointed!

More than half of year 2 students' parents had a concern regarding one specific teacher named Ms Mariam ,regarding her accent and her pronunciation.

Now one of the main reason why parents have registered their kids in Capital School is that all their class teachers are native English speakers regardless of their background .As we all know that many native English speakers come from different backgrounds .But when they speak, their English is perfection.

You know there are many schools offering British curriculum with non native speaking teachers with far less fees .We as parents feel like why are we paying double the fees to Capital School,if the teachers are the same.

We are not questioning the qualification of the teacher as we don't know it, but it's unfair for 2 classes to have native speaking teachers and the 3rd class to have a teacher that is not only non native speaker but when she speaks , her pronunciation is inaccurate.

Which bring us to the other big issue ,when she speaks most of the letters are not pronounced properly .Her phonetics is inaccurate!

If you can go again on her introduction video you would definitely notice what we mean especially at the last part of her video.

If she was an art ,PE or music teacher ,this would not be of a big problem. But this teacher will be teaching our kids English ,Topic, Science, Math, PSHE and even art .How would the kids speak proper English, if the teacher they are spending most of their day with can't even pronounce properly !!Especially we are talking about young kids who are just learning how to speak English and they will copy the way the teacher speaks. (again this is why we want native speaking English teachers,as we want our kids to learn and speak english properly).

We as parents wish if you could possibly reconsider hiring her and choose another teacher who is equivalent to the other two teachers.A native speaking English teacher who can pronounce accurately and clearly.Since we still have two more months for the beginning of the next academic year, I'm sure there is still plenty of time to hire someone else.

This is of a major concern to all of us as parents ,and we are confident that you will solve this issue in a way that will please us all .
