Dear Board of Directors and esteem members.
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the performance of the current executive director of our club. I have recently had several interactions with the ED, and I must say that I am appalled by the lack of response time and, in some instances, no response at all. This is especially concerning when items have been stolen from me, or individual club members are acting inappropriately as club members.
As you know, executive directors are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of an organization, and their performance can have a significant impact on the success of the organization. When an ED is not meeting expectations, it can be frustrating for everyone involved.
I believe that the ED’s lack of responsiveness and poor handling of club member issues is unacceptable. It is essential that the ED is held accountable for their actions and that they are meeting the expectations of the organization.
I understand that there may be many reasons why an ED may not be performing up to par, including lack of experience, poor communication skills, or simply not being a good fit for the organization. However, I believe that the issues I have described are serious and require immediate attention.
I urge you to take action to address these concerns and to ensure that the ED is held accountable for their actions. I would be happy to discuss this matter further with you and to provide any additional information that may be helpful.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I believe in all sincerity that a replacement of a new Executive Director is important to be in the best interests to our current and future members.
Sincerely,
Henry Cheung

+ Personally I would like to have an open forum discussion with Chantal and the Board on the top problems faced by members. As a regular member, it's hard to know the details or if any constraints lead to certain decisions. We can then align on the issues and action plan and make this club better for its members.

Totally agree with this petition. The current ED doesn’t even understand the VRC community, principles, culture, and priorities. Her dictatorship violates VRC governance and management structure. She has made members so disappointed resulting in lots of grievances which she simply ignored. Her management attitude demonstrates that she doesn’t fit the role of VRC ED.

It's been nice to see some new members on the badminton side, but it is very over capacity at this point. Without knowing all the details, this seems to have been very mismanaged. Quite regularly from 6-10 pm wait times are very long e.g. 3-4 games in 2 hours.
There's also been some major changes to the gym, with seemingly no communication and consultation.

This is important for the future of the VRC. Actions of this kind can not be Allowed to stand. Nonprofits can not operate this way.

She is definitely not a good fit and makes unilateral decisions she has no concept or awareness that this is a member driven club and that she works for the members.
Stating nothing but the truth !!
