It is time to change the outdated Lunacy Act of 1871; people with mental illness and/or intellctual disablities need legislation upholding their civil rights.

Time to change the completely outdated legislation and allow people dignity and respect regardless of their disability to make their own decisions
my son is not an idiot or lunatic he has autism and may need to be protected in the future there has to be better wording that can be used in a new law
