Enough is enough. During the Premier League 2013-2014 season, customers throughout the Middle East were suddenly confronted with a situation where 6 out of 10 matches were no longer being broadcast live, despite beINsports (Al Jazeera at the time) promoting and selling their subscriptions on the basis of 380 Premier League matches being broadcast live (they still do by the way).

The 2014-2015 season kicked off and we all sat down to watch the matches, except in the Middle East, we were confronted with a big surprise! Subscribers who had paid for new boxes and extended their subscriptions discovered that they would once again receive 40% of the services they had paid for. Online subscribers, like myself, have it worse. There is NO online service whatsoever! In other words, I was sold a subscription for the Premier League, which, by beINsports' own admission, they do not have the rights to!

Of course, this does not dissuade them from continuing to market their product as 100% live at a premium price. To make matters worse, we have only 2 ways of contacting them: via social media (which they ignore) or by email (to which they only provide stock responses). Complaints to the broadcaster and so-called consumer protection organisations have achieved absolutely nothing.

The time has therefore come to use the nuclear option. Premier League fans in the Middle East kindly request that you do the following:
a) require beINsports to compensate all customers for the false advertising and the matches they failed to broadcast live as advertised; and
b) take immediate action to clarify the situation to the public so that no more victims are duped into handing over honest-earned money to the unscrupulous sales teams at beINsports; and
c) immediately reinstate full rights to broadcast all Premier League matches LIVE on ALL media; or
d) terminate your agreement with beINsports and appoint a new broadcaster which is able to meet the image rights protection criteria you have set; or
e) best yet, allow a second broadcaster to broadcast all matches, thereby increasing competition and forcing broadcasters to provide customers what they have paid for.

In any event, it is unacceptable that you continue to do nothing whilst an unscrupulous broadcaster continues to pretend to have a license to broadcast your product and dupes people into paying for services they will never receive.

You should know that the reputation of the Premier League and your sponsors are seriously damaged the longer this goes on. You cannot claim to be serious about piracy when you force paying customers to resort to illegal streaming sites, because your "exclusive" broadcaster has nothing to broadcast. This entire situation is a complete farce, and we have allbeen exploitedquite enough.

We request, nay, demand that you resolve this issue immediately to the satisfaction of the people who have helped ensure the Premier League and the teams within it are global brands. The irony that a significant proportion of your clubs and their sponsors are based in countries which do not have access to the league they help fund.
