We live at 1065 Ramsey Cres. and everyone in the building has had at least one or numerous experiences being stuck in the elevator and waiting upto 3 hours for someone to free the people that are stuck. Being confined in an elevator without a washroom and no food or water is terrifying and considering that this is a family apartment many children get stuck in the elevator as well. The most recent case that the elevator has broken down just recently during the week of July 10th, 2014 where Ghadah Hourieh was stuck helpless. We NEED and WANT these defected elevators to be replaced IMMEDIATELY and approved by head office. Taking the elevator shouldn't cause us stress but it is and many of us have health issues, disabilities or limitations which heighten when entering or being stuck in the elevator for hours. Sometimes one or two of the elevators are out of service causing immense stress considering there are 15 floors and thousands of people coming needing to access the elevator through wheel chairs, strollers, walkers etc. If no action is being taken by Ottawa Community Housing we will find a way through filing a class action in court.
