This law was nothing more than grossly overfunded, media-fueled, misdirected fear mongering and has no place in a society of law abiding citizens. Criminals have no regard for the current laws foreboding their possession and use of firearms, this legislation only makes it more difficult - to impossible for a law abiding citizen to maintain the right to keep and bear arms. The 2nd amendment was written to keep a tyrannical government from oppressing the populous via superior firepower. 9th amendment was written to insure that all other rights are not infringed upon. This is nothing more than the rich paving the way to their own personal agendas with money and using the media to facilitate the delivery of the misguided, and misleading message to the already frightened masses. This is an unconstitutional end-run and needs to be repealed.

Turning honest people into criminals...good job Washington..you just divided people even more. I will not now, nor ever will I follow this. I am not going to fill out background checks(basically registration) to borrow a firearm or loan one to a friend etc. Liberals want freedom then do this? Will vote against every single thing from the left. Anyone who voted for this was and is a moron. Voters don't even read what they are voting on. Hitler would be proud.
