It's very simple - Earle is in Colts Neck. It's every town's responsibility to educate their children REGARDLESS of WHICH PART of town the children reside.

The children belong to the Colts Neck district. Why is this even an issue? Colts Neck is considering closing an Elementary school because of lack of students yet they are not opening their doors to the Earl children who live in their district.

You're missing the point, anonymous. This case has nothing to do with "patriotism," as our legislators love to suggest. It's a simple concept -- Beck, Casagrande and Angelini represent both districts -- one (TF) that's bursting at the seams and unable to offer a program like full-day kindergarten to its taxpayers as a result of space and cost constraints, and another that gets all of the educational impact aid and down 600 students the last decade and with plenty of space today, but now looking for anyone to fill classrooms BUT the Earle students. Shame on people like Caroline Casagrande, a Colts Neck resident who insinuates TF's not "patriotic." Were she such a "patriot", she'd JUMP at the opportunity to have the wonderful kids from Earle attend school with her own kids. TF simply lacks the space, and all it takes to help the district is the stroke of a pen.

Has anyone stopped to ask how the military families feel? It's pretty shameful on both parts it seems to me. People want to claim to be patriotic but this is far from it. Have those families not sacrificed enough for your freedom to sit here and bicker about who pays what and why? Did you ever think it's hard enough for them to uproot their families every few years and try to make wherever they are stationed a home as best they can for their children and now you want to uproot them out of this school. Before you start trying to cast these children out of this school I urge everyone to think long and hard about how the only ones you are truly hurting are these kids and stop speaking as though they are second rate citizens,they are the children of the people who fight for your country.

To our elected representatives, Your inaction on this issue is a travesty to the children of both our US Navy and Tinton Falls/Shrewsbury Twp. To allow Colts Neck to continue to sidestep this responsibility while reaping the financial rewards to "grow" their population through select and entitled programs while TF is bursting at the seams is unacceptable. Represent your constiuents with equal fervor which is what you were elected to do, please.
