Governments cannot defy, ignore voices and sentiments of Assamese people for too long. CAA cannot be imposed and this act should not be implemented forcefully.

Yes, I fully support the petition. Our problem is different then other states and Perhaps the most important of all ( for the people of Assam):
It threatens the cultural diversity and plurality of indigenous traditions in Northeast India, offends the Indian Constitution and Article 27 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and international norms on the rights of indigenous People.
Assam is home to a rainbow of ethnicities, tribes, and indigenous groups. A large influx of homogenous groups threatens the delicate balance of this multicultural, multiethnic, and multi-indigenous society which has maintained mostly harmonious relations in the past.
2ndly, I wonder if we have sent any memorandum directly to our native politicians-the Chief minister and others. The CAB become CAA, I believe, after all the BJP members supported it. It seems that all BJP members of our state are “YES” person. And now they are quite. Why not we force them to tell their BOSS, Prime minister Mr.MODi. India’s president was a rubber stamp as we know. And he is still the same. Sending letters to him will go to the GARBAGE.
Yes, I oppose the CAA and no problem with the memorandum.

Assam should be excluded from CAA, just like most other northeastern Indian states have been. This will protect Assamese culture and language. The authors of this petition don't seem to realize that CAA protesters in other parts of India are not crying for Assam. These people don't have any idea about how Assam and Tripura, in particular have suffered from silent Bangladeshi invasion. However, I have no problem if other parts on India want to accept CAB and settle migrants there.

CAA is an existential threat to the Assamese identity and if not thwarted, will lead to the extinction of Assamese language, culture and political preponderance . This threat is real and unparalleled in the history of Assam. CAA is very cleverly crafted by BJP to serve multiple purposes-1. It seeks to create a massive vote bank in both Assam and West Bengal with the illegal Hindu Bangladeshis who will be grateful Indian citizens to vote for BJP. 2. It will exclude the illegal Muslim Bangladeshis from citizenship in a push towards HINDUTVA. CAA is BJP's Aswamedha. Personally, I am hoping that the Supreme Court of India will make CAA meet the fate of IMDT. If not, I hate to think about what may follow. At this point I feel few options for the BJP Govt. 1. Withdraw CAA in toto for entire India. 2. Exempt Assam from CAA.3. Implement ASSAM ACCORD in entirety-not just a particular section.
As I think about the situation in Assam, it comes to my mind what Vladimir Putin of Russia said sometime ago. Essentially he said something to the effect that if Russia faces extinction, at that point it would not mind destroying the human civilization, because nothingbelse is real. I do not Assam to burn. May God bring sanity to the BJP stalwarts both in Delhi and Dispur !
