The sixteenth amendment reads as follows: "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration." Taxes are inherently theft and a tool of tyranny. I propose repealing this amendment in order to usher in an era for the individual, while simultaneously minimizing the role of government. Through our voices we will make our desires known; speak up, for the individual.

Updates

June 10, 2013

I have been neck deep in research lately looking at the original debates surrounding the amendment because it is just wild how much things shifted so fast. People keep messaging me with their own stories about how the tax burden hits their households and honestly it is exhausting to realize how many of us are struggling under this thumb.
