On June 13, 2019 New York State took away the right for school age children to have a religious exemption. This change came with no public hearings & without regard for New Yorkers Constitutional rights. Freedom to practice ones religious belief is at the very foundation of what our country stands for and it is essential we reestablish the right to religious exemption for the youth of NY.
