Please don't break up this family. It can take some rescue dogs a long time to bond and build trust. Removing them would be cruel to both the dogs and the family. To many of us, our pets ARE our family. I realize there are bylaws and I respect the need for them but there needs to be a better way to enforce them. Clauses that grant exception for new people moving in who are already "outside" of the rule. Mandatory registration at time of rescue or adoption so that excess numbers can be prevented? I don't know exactly how to help....but ripping apart an established family is definitely not the way.

I am a dog lover and feel these dogs are being cared for in a loving home and they appear healthy and happy. This is a family situation with these dogs they seem to get along well together and separating them would cause them to mourn the loss of a pack member. They look well fed and content. This lady is doing a wonderful job rearing them in a loving home. They are in great physical condition not one looks underfed or tattered with scars from fighting. The shelters are full to the brim with dogs that are unwanted by their owners. Please allow this lady to keep these dogs they are obviously happy and healthy with her and she is doing a great job !!!

deleteMar 12, 2017 A pet isn't just part of the family.... They ARE family!! You are asking for this woman to choose between her babies (her family) and that just immoral!!! This law definitely needs to be changed .. If they are healthy and and the living conditions favorable then let them be.. Go after the ones who look neglected and just thrown on a chain who bowls empty most of the time and their bodies show it .. Take them away and give them a second chance at better living cause obviously you are wasting your time at a woman who clearly looks like them babies are well taken care of..

This is a Bylaw that needs to be reviewed. There are incompetent animal companion owners with only one dog. This is a case where all dogs are loved and cared for!

Let her keep her dogs - they are well cared for - what harm are they causing - do you have farmers limit their number of cattle or horses - she lives in the county for goodness sake
