Governor Brown's April 1, 2015 Executive Order re: Emergency Water Conservation measures allowed potable water to be used in RE-CIRCULATING fountains.

In June 2015, at the behest of Public Works, Vallejo city council went above and beyond what the Governor ordered and enacted city ordinance 11.54.050 that banned operation of all water fountains regardless if they were part of a re-circulating system or not.

Recently, Vallejo Public Works set the city's water conservation target to ZERO.

We need your support in order to have Vallejo City Council amend the city ordinance to ABIDE by the Governor's Executive Order that allows RE-CIRCULATING FOUNTAINS TO OPERATE.

Please sign this petition asking for the city council to amend this city ordinance.

Let's turn on Hiddenbrooke's fountain! Together we can make it happen.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me why I started this fight to bring life back to our neighborhood fountain. The city council cannot ignore us much longer now that so many neighbors have joined this push to restore our local landmark.

Let's support Governor Brown's Executive Order and turn our re-circulating fountain back on.

It was never necessary to turn it off. Doing so has caused damage to the pump. Also, the repairs that were done just before the turn off Wewwere not given time to be checked out. Now the warranty on that work has probably expired!

Please repair and restore the Hiddenbroke entry way Fountain, that is paid for by Hiddenbroke's residents in property taxes. If unable I urge all residents to file class action lawsuit against city of Vallejo for not fulfilling obligations of the city commitments in bonds and other taxes.

Its time. Turn it on. Turning it off was more symbolic than pure conservation. We all got the message. Ca water useage down 23%. No more symbolism needed.

This fountain - when working, is a focal point for local folks for pictures - weddings, proms, etc. It is NOT merely a Hiddenbrooke community feature.

Please turn on our fountain. Im all for conservation, but I'd rather see the almond growers use less so we can use our fountain with potable water.
