Mr. Paulsen, it's time to do the right thing. Do it now before Sharon Sund replaces you. That way you can say you did one thing right before you were tossed out of office.

do not privatize either Medicare or Social Security
Being an "accountant" you should know how much is deducted from our paychecks each year for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Being a legislator you should also know how much is "borrowed" from these funds to support the war machine, aka Department of Defense. In case no one has informed you, Wall Street is probably the worst place for long term investments because of its volatility. Money invested in Wall Street does not appreciate as much as a good solid long term bond. You should also know that the interest paid by the Treasury Department on these loans, that are never repaid,is no where near as high as a long term bond.

There is not one good or decent reason not to support Social Security. It is fully paid for by the workers and their employers. You, in congress would be stealing my money if you touch a dime.

Social Security & Medicare work and work well - in fact life saving for millions of our citizens. We can live with change, but not change that will make us less secure in our daily/weekly/monthly/yearly living. Fix it for us, not to benefit an ideology that wants to privatize virtually everything.

Stop telling us you're going to protect medicare and social security by privatizing it or giving us vouchers. We are not stupid. We know your goal is to kill both programs and privatizing and vouchering will do just that.

Mr. Paulsen, It is because og Medicare & social security that my husband & I are not eating out of garbage cans, have enough to pay for our medical insurance, pay our bills, help out our children & grand children. We are NOT a burden on society and are not on welfare or living on the streets. Theseprograms allow us to live in dignity. You & Republicans' ideology to "ORIVATIZE THOSE PROGRAMS tell me that you (by your actions) want older Americans to live in poverty or to die quickly. There is NO WAY that anyone with a conscience; would do what you & the Republican Party vow to do (and by the evidence of Republican governors) show that you have any respect or regard for America's senior citizens. You should NEVER support any action that would aim to privatize any of the safety net programs. THEY PROVIDE LIFE WITH DIGNITY AFTER WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE. WE DO NOT WANT TO BE A BURDEN ON SOCIETY--SO LEAVE THOSE PROGRAMS IN TACT SO WE CAN CARE FOR OURSELVES IN OUR OLD AGE!

Rep. Paulsen: please explain your positions on Medicare and Social Security? And don't send out campaign literature saying you support seniors even as you vote against them.
