People all over the world love movies, but not everyone has an opportunity to view them under the stars and in the fresh air. We the people of Long Island have long since lost the many drive-in theaters we once loved, but we have an opportunity to bring one back. The old Rocky Point Drive-In theater sign still stands tall. And the land is just sitting and waiting to be refilled with the many patrons of old and new. Therefor It is our mission to try and get the town to allow a reopening of the Rocky Point Drive-In Theater in Rocky Point, NY. For 22 long years now the land has sat, and no plans have been made to renovate, reconstruct or rebuild. Nor has any new development or shopping center been established. We are hoping through signatures and support we can motivate the town to reopen the theater to the general public once more, and give us back a great American past time.
