This petition is to reopen the Service road for all Boeing employees including shuttles and buses along with personal vehicles. An additional walk path/ bike path needs to be built beside the road for better safety of the Boeing employees that bike and walk the service road. Reopening the service road will allow for much shorter driving times to the Activity Center. The extended drive times make it difficult for people to continue to use the activity center during lunch time by adding upwards of an additional 10 minutes for the shuttle/ bus.

THE STORIES YOU ARE ALL SHARING ABOUT HOW THIS ROAD CLOSURE IMPACTS YOUR DAILY ROUTINE ARE ABSOLUTELY FUELING THIS FIGHT FOR A BETTER COMMUTE FOR EVERYONE AT BOEING!!

With the Service Road closed, trying to enter the Activity Center at 2:00 is now next to impossible. There is a steady, solid stream of traffic coming from the new ESRC facility and the only way to turn left into the Activity Center is to throw Safety and Sanity aside and turn thru oncoming traffic. This has made for a much higher safety risk!
Please re-open the service road. It's more dangerous sending pedestrians/bike riders/busses on a longer and higher traffic route. It opens up much more opportunity to get into an accident because you are forced to deal with general public roadways (with high traffic already). The service road is for Boeing and affiliated, which = much less general traffic and thus much less opportunity for dangerous situations to arise. Granted the transition point at the gate should be re-designed to allow a better view and more space. Perhaps enough room for 2 busses to pass each other at that point.

Boeing Service Road being close by non member that use this to the Boeing rec center was not a fair evaluation Why not use the gate funds for the walkway for the Pedestrians _ On the safety side of matters having a lock gate for ER vehicle can cause a hazardous time in the case of a MAJOR event.
The service road is safer than the Seaway Blvd.
Having this road open saves time. It allows me more time at work prior to attending a class at the rec center. I have never encountered a dangerous situation on this road when it was open.

yes as stated earlier this road saves considerable time in the commute to the Activity Center. It is also a safer route as the alternate routes are significantly longer and with limited time for lunch individuals are racing to the Activity Center on these alternate routes. Another consideration is the service road is flat so considerably safer to travel in the frost/ice then the steep winding alternative road off Seaway Blvd.
