ReOPEN this case. The officer clearly created the confrontation, exacerbated the situation and then executed Mr. White after provoking him. Montgomery County should have immediately fired him. This has to stop.

As a person with experience with mental illness I strongly support extensive training of police officers in recognizing signs of mental illness, but also the necessity to keep our policemen accountable for their actions when they use force excessively.

I live very close to where Robert White was killed and have been outraged that over 2 years have passed and this officer is still on the force. The community that pays for the MCPD demands to reopen the investigation of this officer.

The time for a fair, open, transparent investigation of this man's death at the hands of a police officer is way past due. It is past time we stopped encouraging brutal, repressive, violent behavior by the police towards Black people. It is past time for condoning racism in Montgomery County which, make no mistake, is exactly what we are doing when we fail to have unbiased, independent, transparent public investigations of ALL deaths at the hands of our police and, most especially of the death of any Black person in our County. Do the right thing, reopen this case and commit to an honest, through, public investigation of Mr. White's death.
