Hood Luck, this mayor cares about one thing only, his police force. These pools should be open. Message me if you need more support!

People in Surrey deserve to keep swimming and diving if everyone else is now. These people work hard every year to get better so let them go back and train!

The BC Diving Executive Director, Jayne McDonald has been hypocritical in the nature of her support for the re-opening of pools. In an email sent to us May 23, she said: "Thanks for this message. but there is a process that we are currently going through with our collective provincial sport organizations to get the pools open. It is not as easy as just opening the doors. The process has to be safe for the participation as well as the staff of the facilities. I do not feel that this petition is the appropriate method. We will continue to follow the advice of medical professionals and experienced personnel to get the facilities open so that everyone can get back to the water safely. We have to have patience. Jayne McDonald BC Diving Executive Director" In May 23, she mentioned that she does not feel that petitions are not an appropriate method. However, now she fully support this. She said that it is not as easy opening doors, but now she is supporting the petition to open Granview Pool. We believe in re-opening safely. However, we wonder if Jayne is placing first the wellbeing of the membership as Executive Director of BC Diving. It does not seem that she is advocating for her membership!

Jayne, I think it is right for all to know that you have been hypocritical in the nature of your support for the re-opening of pools. With so many other things closed or only partially open due to Covid- kids desperately need a place to stay healthy with exercise and not be on their phones all day.

Pools are important for athletes now and we need to open them in a controlled way to figure out how to get them open to the general public in the future.

With less than 20 cases of COVID19 active in BC keeping lockdown measures is becoming irresponsible from you.

Kids activity more important than a change in Surrey police force

Please open Grandview Heights Pool so that all Surrey water sports athletes can get back to training.
