This is a petition to stop the South Lyon School Board from implementing any of the redistricting plans as presented to them. While all 3 options may be viable, none are truly a fit for our growing community. We need the Board to reopen discussions and allow additional time to make a sound decision using more accurate data and family/neighborhood input. We would like to ensure that original Guiding Principles are used, however that safety, bus travel and proximity to schools are also considered and all factors are weighted appropriately. We cannot foresee the future but we do know that the data relied upon, as of March 18, 2013, is not complete.
