Ty Alexander Salon in Newport Beach immediately implemented measures that go above and beyond to create a safe environment for their clients as well as their employees. I felt more safe at the salon than I do when shopping at places where some people don’t wear a face covering. The salon limited the amount of people in the salon, successfully created a means of social distancing, clients wait in their car until their stylist notifies them when to come to the door, They’re doing temp. checks at the door. Both the stylists and clients wear a face covering. They have an employee continually cleaning surfaces. Salon owners and their employees should not continue to suffer while some large retailers operate with only meeting minimal standards and remain open. There should be no demarcation—ALL jobs are essential and we need the economy put back on track. Reopen salons.
