One of the very cool things about NO is the ability to hear some really great musicians. Getting people to move out of the way of emergency vehicles would certainly be easier than a line of cars on such narrow streets

Street Musicians in the Quarter and particularily on Royal Street ARE the reason when we cruise on Carnival out of your port (we come a couple days early) to hear and mingle with the Musicians playing on the street. NOT to dodge cars. Reclose it to vehicular traffic.

There are plenty of other solutions to this problem. With decisions like this the terrorists are winning. We should not change our way of life for them. Figure out an alternate solution!!

Cars in town it's ridiculous. Taking back a famous street to musicians, ridiculous. Pedestrians mean more money for the town, be realistic and stop making us loose our sign to say obvious things, Mr "I don't live in the world but I know what's good for everybody" PEOPLE ARE NOT JUST A NUMBER ON AN ID CARD WE ARE EXISTANT, and you should better listen to the people or you could feel their existence printed in a form of a foot in your butt. Bored to fight for stupid things cause of rich boys making their wish some laws. Is their an important person that don't want to roll too long to cross the town or what?

As a former resident of New Orleans and as a lifetime lover of the city and it's culture I have always enjoyed Royal street and the music there. I ask you to please open the street to pedestrian traffic only, bring back the street musicians!

The main reason my spouse & I drive 9 hours to New Orleans? Walking on Royal and listening/watching street performers. Please keep the area closed to vehicles during 'Royal Hours!' Thanks & see you soon!

The ability to walk down Royal and see the performers is one of the reasons NOLA is a destination. Please consider a compromise to maintain this treasure.

This is New Orleans culture why take away when troubles are so prevalent on other streets where the trouble is really at. BOURBON, DAUPHINE AND DUMAINE and,so forth where people have,been really injured and killed.
