Open schools now! The mental health effects of keeping them closed absolutely dwarves the miniscule risk they have of Covid, stop playing politics with my kids!

It’s so important for our kids to be in school. There mental health is at risk and same with learning!!! There has to be a solution!!! They aren’t getting the education they need. I feel for these kids and parents juggling work and school! It’s not right!!

Let us choose whether our kids return... If parents don’t want their child to return they can home school them. That should not affect the majority of us!!!

It does not make sense to isolate and mask up the healthy people in a society. Our kids need to get out of their bedrooms and out from behind their chromebooks and get back to living at school, with their friends, their peers, their teachers and their coaches. Our teachers are essential workers. Those teachers who are immunocompromised can be assigned to teach students whose families choose remote learning as this petition outlines. The numbers (mortality rates per the CDC) do not come close to justifying this long term lockdown. Open our schools Pleasanton. All grades.

It’s about time PUSD give a plan to open up the school. The funds are there. You have replacement teachers if the current teachers want to opt out. PUSD had months to plan and not wait for Alameda co to announce you can open up a d then now try to use the time to plan to open up. Be proactive and not reactive to this pandemic

When the health authorities permit schools to open, they must open to serve the community in which they are set up and funded to serve. Not meeting this social and financial contract with the community of Pleasanton is negligence by PUSD. Please defund the PUSD and reallocate the funds the families who are doing the work and bearing this burden.

Our kids are hurting and more at risk emotionally and developmentally than from this virus.
