For the health of the residents of our county, businesses, schools, kids, parents, etc we need to stay "open". People are smart and use common sense, so let them have the freedom to do so. Our hospitals will not be overrun with Covid patients. Hospitals are meant to be fairly full as they are a "business" and try to operate at an almost full census!!!!!

It is time to open El Dorado County and the State. While California business owners & employees, suffer great losses, County and State elected, continue to receive their salaries, as does those who work for these governments. They are able to continue to pay into their health care insurance, inflated pensions, etc. ,etc. And it has been documented that restaurants and other small businesses, have low or no infection of COVID, but in fact those in government do. Newsom's edicts are hypocritical and are moronic. We want an end to conditioning and Newsom's obedience training tactis. Terry Gherardi

Re opening gives back the opportunity for our commerce, jobs and economic growth.. here's the thing about this.. it seems to me that if we follow the suggestions to wear a mask and gloves and social distancing in a store or a street or restaurant then they can stay in business.. personal choice is key here whether you believe a mask et al works is not the point.. if it's a good thing great.. if not what is the difference.. I wear one.. well maybe I forget sometimes but hey I do my best Since people are so upset right now I see doing this will make people comfortable. Our local business is suffering its worse than the disease as our community is suffering but keep in mind our country community and Coworkers and Churches are shutting down. Far be it from me to say.. but that is very far from an answer.. if you want to not wear masks or wash your hands.. well I'm just gonna say it.. I don't like it either but it is easy to do..and it comforts others too. I agree that being controlled like this is wrong.. I will support this petition.. but the fact is that the door is open.. all that we can do is support our local community.. sometimes you just wear a mask.. I don't like it either but I do it
