Brentwood Green is a school/community park that was created in 1997 by Brentwood residents to improve the playground and to provide a much needed park for our community. Brentwood Green was created by generous residents of our community who volunteered both their time and their money.

In 1999, Brentwood Green replaced the seven acres of cracked asphalt on the playground of the Brentwood Science Magnet School with a community park. This park was used by the students during school hours and was accessible to the community after school, weekends & holidays.

However, over the past few years the community has been locked out, granted access only on Sundays during the farmer's market. What was meant to be an open space for our families and our children in the afternoons, weekends and holidays is now being denied us.

If you would like to honor all of the hard work and money raised and make this part of our wonderful community once again, please sign our petition.

With your help we can show a united front to the Principal of Brentwood Science Magnet School and to LAUSD to let them know that we expect the gates to be open to the community that brought it into being.
