I haven’t heard of a community with a pool that has a pool and has not opened it. Everyone else is able to accommodate the guidelines the county/state has put in place, so we need to figure out how to do so ASAP instead of months down the line. There are sanitation wipes and sanitizer currently available at Costco, no need to wait for an Amazon order to come in.
What about paying a teenager minimum wage to staff the pool area to monitor. I’d be open to paying a few extra dollars a month to have the pool open rather than paying for it and not being able to use it.

Per the San Diego County guidelines there is no reason for the pool not to be open at this point. Remove the furniture all together if you have to, allow for sign-ups of 2 hour blocks if that's what it takes, just open the pools. We have been paying for these pools with months of no access due to COVID and months prior to that for renovations. We have had no pool access all year - open them or give us a refund on a portion of our HOA fees. We are all good neighbors here who can and I believe will do the right things to keep our community safe.

Like:
*Waiver signed to release liability of the HOA, and then FOB only turned on for those who sign.
*Residents ONLY. NO GUESTS.
**Additional idea: a digital sign up sheet for 2-hour blocks, to allow for households to get to use the pool throughout the day. One sign up per day per household.

It's beginning to warm up and the pools should be opened. Most residences do not have AC units and the pools are a great way to cool down. All owners have also been paying for maintenance of the pool area for many months w/o being allowed to access it.

The pools need to be open. Each individual will take full responsibility for their welfare.

If the people can use the pool safely I feel they should be able to use it.
