Rent Reduction for COVID-19

Couple builds here. Regarding amenities, I personally feel this is a separate conversation from rent reduction. Management should compensate us for time lost with access to amenities, either in the form of a credit or straight up reimbursement. This should be addressed once we understand how long the amenities will be closed for. Rent reduction is a whole separate beast. The stimulus package will have little impact on rent given the amount of money we're expected to receive in comparison to the amount of time some people are out of work and still required to pay rent. Net net, I do feel the line in this petition about the amenities should be removed as opposed to a tack on to the rent reduction, but both are very real concerns that management needs to address.

Rent reduction would provide much needed relief in these challenging times.

I understand that the amenities needed to be shut down for safety, but it seems only fair that we not pay for something we can't use. It would also be a huge show of charity and understanding for Kushner Real Estate to say it's willing to help its residents in their greatest time of need. It seems that everyone could benefit by a cost reduction.

It sure would be appreciated. I have two family members who I am having to help support during this difficult time, so a little breathing room would be nice. It would also benefit KRE by helping to retain long time tenants who are reliable.

Agree! This effects everyone on many levels and this would help to slightly ease financial stress. We don’t know what the future holds.

I agree! I'm a freelancer who's already lost income. Additionally, we have no access to ammenities. While I agree with the need to shut them down, it does lessen the value for what we're paying for these months. Also, KRE is a big group who probably can afford to cut us some slack.
