Our rent was increased more than 10%. We cannot afford to buy a house. This is why we rent. We should have rent control.

Rents have gone up to rediculous amounts in Long Beach in the last 6 years I've lived here. Landlords can raise rent every year yet those same renters probably aren't getting cost of living raises and making pennies as it is and it's got to stop. There has to be some balance between the median income to cost of living. The people who typically rent are not in jobs that can support the housing costs. Inflated rental costs equals the homeless rate increasing, need for government assistance increasing, health insurance increasing, debt and taxes increasing. Stop the madness, sign and pass it on!

Please let Long Beach have Rent control. We Love Long Beach and would hate to leave because owners are being hicking up the rent to an outrages price.

We need rent control to stop the sheer greed of Wall Street and foreign investors. Enough is enough!!! Price fixing is or should be illegal.
