I love the show it hipped me more into the early days of rap mixed with a little modern taste and actually shows light on real life issues and what it is to be loyal to family, friends, and so on showing what unity is and can do

The only reason my friend and I got a Netflix subscription! Such an amazing show and cast and music, And my goodness, what an important story to tell! Probably the most aesthetically interesting and cinematic show on TV right now. Ground-breaking and such an absolute game changer. Please carry on making it!!!

This is one of the only shows that have an all diverse cast and it's good to have representation for young kids who enjoy the things that these characters do. It's good to have representation of bi black/Latinxkids, black/latinx nerds, black/ Latinx singers it's good to see these characters who look just like me and who like the same things as I do

The get down may be the most expensive shows to produce but when I say it's worth it, I mean it's the first show that Netflix has made that isn't a f*** up

This show is so important on many levels. Even though it's partially fictional, the factual parts can give those who aren't familiar with hip hop's origins insight on what it was really about. It also can show that transition from disco to hip hop once disco started dying off. Not to mention that there are plenty of storylines not finalized. What happens to Mylene once disco dies? Does Boo Boo stay in a life of crime? What happens to Shaolin Fantastic, Dizzie, and Ra-Ra? Plenty of people would like to know, but can only find out if The Get Down returns. C'mon guys, make it happen.
