I know this is like. Probably just a sign of my general loser-ness, but The Get Down is literally the only tv show I watch. Like, I stopped complaining about my sister's obsession with Netflix for this! The Get Down is amazing, and I hope it gets renewed for as long as it's creators want to tell this story.

I've never considered myself a 'hip-hop aficionado'. I started watching The Get Down out of curiosity about the birth of hip-hop in the Bronx. I learned that there was so much more going on at that time than I had ever imagined. I love every second of the show, be it sweet, scary, beautiful, or ugly. It's all essential; it's all thoughtful representation. I feel that the world needs The Get Down more than almost every other show or movie I've seen in the past few years. Please renew it! Please give this show time and space to shine even brighter!

I'm an enrolled tribal member, and a ftm two-spirit kid at that, any chance I can get to see lgtb/poc stories and representation, I jump on it. If they don't renew the Get Down we'll be losing one of the greatest shows of our time

I honestly don't think there anything else like The Get Down available to us at the moment. The characters that the first season has spent building up have become beloved to a lot of people and it would be a waste of such love and potential to have those voices fall silent after only one season.
