It's such a good show, and part two was better than part one and warmly critically reviewed. It was so fun and enjoyable and ended on SUCH a cliff hanger. The actors are amazing too. Give it a chance, Netflix.

This show is so original and means so much to so many people. Representation is important. Part of the reason this show isn't as popular is because you guys (Netflix) didn't promote it nearly enough. It came on netflix just a few days after 13 reasons why, so that was still the hype. You literally promoted Chewing Gum more than The Get Down! So many people love this show, please renew it. We need more about Dizzee's story in season 2!!!

This is one of the most amazing shows on Netflix; it has an amazing strong female characters, great representation and a really interesting plot that addresses issues that are still relevant today.

This is truly original content, fun while not neglecting the real-life struggles and politics of the era -- and of course, the music! This is part of New York's story that doesn't get covered much outside of Spike Lee's earlier movies. "The Get Down" deserves (at least) another season.
