The Get Down is one of the greatest shows on television. It merges music, spectacle, poetry, and masterful drama in one, addictive, thematically rich package. It presents a story so rooted in the history of hip hop, disco, and the Bronx while at the same time presenting a universal, relatable tale of youth striving for love, success, and family. It is a deeply impactful piece of art, it is soulful, it is transfixing, it is magical. And it is not over. The story must continue.
