The Netflix Original titled, "The Get Down", premiered last summer and won the hearts of thousands of hip-hop aficionados. Part 2 of Season 1 was just released and the show just keeps getting better.
After getting in touch with the creators we have been informed that they have yet to be approved for another season. We the people can make this happen! If you're a fan of the show please contribute your signatures, do it for the culture!

I am honestly stunned to see so many people who care as much as I do about this story. If we can reach that next milestone of a thousand people it might actually get someone to listen to us.

This is a show about my borough, The Bronx that doesn't normally get limelight in today's media coverage. This show has a lot of creative potential that Netflix isn't taking the time to see. Hip-Hop is million dollar industry Netflix remember that.
A series about music with 95% POC cast, LGBTQ representation, political commentary, well developed three dimensional characters, feminist themes, AND produced by the Grandmaster himself???? WHY is renewal even a question, make it a promise.
The Get Down is my favorite show since Glee and it's the only Netflix show I watch these days. It's the sole reason I have a Netflix account, just so I can watch this show. It deserves a second season and as much PR as all the other shows have been given.
The get down is not only a great show but an important one. A show as racially diverse as this one; that not only touches on but tackles themes like racism, sexism, feminism, sexuality; needs to continue and needs to be there to start conversations.
Please renew the get down! It is one of the only shows on Netflix that shows black and latinx kids in a new light. It doesn't follow the stereotypes and makes me and many others special. Like we are finally being seen so please, renew the get down.
Can y'all please make this happen. I'll play a character, just to see it happen.

The get down is what inspired me to start drawing, without it I wouldn't be as happy a I currently am today! I need a second season, I need to know what happens to everyone! There are too many directions this show could go and I want to see where it goes!
