Renew Davetta Faulcon's Teaching Contract
The Weldon City Schools District is currently considering not renewing Davetta Faulcon's teaching contract. Davetta has worked tirelessly with the Weldon City Schools District students for nearly 8 years. Just as she is finishing her Certification pursuit in Elementary Education, Weldon City Schools may not accommodate her in the coming school year. In fact she may be let go based on unfair terms. The idea of losing such an exceptional teacher has evoked the hearts of students, staff, and families at Weldon. A selection of these individuals have decided it is our duty to utilize our voices to demand action. As an experienced and dedicated educator, Davetta is devoted to consistently inspiring and motivating students to achieve their best.
Davetta's degree in psychology has allowed her to connect with students, on a much deeper level than the average educator. She has not only been an English and Language Arts Teacher, but a mentor, a life coach, and a friend to us all. Ms. Davetta is patient, understanding, and most importantly she has a natural compassionate spirit!
Her innovative teaching methods and dedication has made a significant impact on her students both former and present. Being a product of the community she serves, she has been able to build lasting relationships with her students and their families. She has been a bridge in the partnership of school and community. Over the past two years she has encountered personal health issues that sometimes affect her physical work ability. However she manages to complete the job that matters, which is educating and being there for our children.
