These names are completely unacceptable. Each one carries a negative underlying connotation, none have ANYTHING to do with Binghamton, and frankly, they are all just idiotic. If these are the names that the new ownership group would be proud to wear on their chests, it makes me sad for the community that the BMETS have been a part of for the last quarter century.

These names are an embarrassment. The only one that isn't absolutely ridiculous is the Bullheads, and that's just because of alliteration. I don't know who was in charge of narrowing the field, but they need to be re-evaluated as an employee.

I'm thinking you received most of the names from either pre-k children or a bunch of drunk idiots. Seriously!!! Who in there right mind thought these were good choices? You may want to consider firing this panel and start from scratch, cuz I'm sure there will be no sales of branded merchandise. Might as well call us the Binghamton Bozos.

Binghamton Mets already are our home town team. I do not understand why the name needs to be changed in the first place.

I totally agree! The name choices are horrible and with all of the impressive new additions this season ( food, activities etc.) this will NOT help increase attendance. I would think the players would be embarrassed to use any of the suggestions. I would love to see them stay as the Mets, but maybe more Yankee fans would go if the team name was "neutral." Either a name more significant to Binghamton, or just something cool that people will be proud to say and walk around in the apparel!
