These alternatives are obnoxious at best. I respect the intent but this is ludicrous and truly sad. Keep it the Mets or try again. Perhaps a vote yes/no on the final "winner" and if it doesn't get at least half yes toss it...

Baseball is suppose to be a family friendly sport. Some of the final six names are completely NOT family friendly. There is no way I would EVER take my children to go see the Binghamton Stud muffins or a couple of the other options. I loved going to the games when I was younger and have great memories of the B-Mets games. I am sadded that my children won't have the same memories.

These are the most imbicilic name choices. Either leave them the B-Mets or leave town and bring in a Yankee affiliate.

I wasn't aware of this "contest" to rename the Binghamton Mets. However, these names are hideous. Why not create a name combining some famous aspects/persons of the area like Rod Serling and Twilight Zone; Johnny Hart and the BC comic strip; and the carousels? How about something like the Binghamton BC Twilight Roundabouts? I know this is not the greatest but is just an idea and an example.
