There truly is no need to change the name when it represents the major league team we fall under. But at least make it respectable if this is something you feel must be done. Those choices are not acceptable options.

They are renaming the team because they are planing on moving the team in the very very very very near future. also the NY Mets may also be movie their team out of Binghamton. that is the biggest two reasons to rename the team.

Parlor City Mets or the Binghamton Ponies. ( commentating the areas carousels ) are much more suitable for this city's past . Or better yet , leave it alone ! If it's not broke , don't fix it . Please don't make our team a laughing stock to this community.
