Rebekah and her children should have something permanent and positive to look at so they can keep their head held high in memory of their Husband/Father in that area.

My grandson is named after Brian Jones because we're grateful, I think the city can name a street after the hero that died for us.

As the surviving daughter of a fallen officer, it warms my heart to see how my dad's department and city took the steps for part of the 405 (CA) Freeway to be named in his honor and memory. It saddens me to know that Officer Brian Jones' children will not grow up with the warmth in their hearts for the city that their dad died protecting. I miss my terribly, as I am sure the Jones children miss their dad, but I smile with pride each time I see that sign on the 405 freeway in California or when friends and family tell me that they saw it. Norfolk, please do this for the honor and memory of Officer Brian Jones but more importantly, for his children. Let them know that Norfolk is proud of their dad.

I served with Brian Jones on COMCARGRU TWO onboard USS HARRY S TRUMAN Strike Group. He was a great American and a true hero of Norfolk. He is unquestionably deserving of this honor.

A memorial should be made and a petition should NOT have to be completed first, in my opinion.

As a firefighter for the city of Norfolk, this would be an awesome sign of appreciation for his sacrifice and a lasting memorial that nobody can deem an "eyesore".

I think wellington Rd should be renamed Brian Jones way. He died for the people living on that road. I would be honored to have it changed if I lived there.

This officer gave his life protecting people he didn't even know, naming a street after him is a great way to keep the memory of a hero alive.
