Values ? What's the Latin for 'deceitful, dishonest, disrespectful that'll be a good starting point. Maybe then you could call it the Knox Unethical centre for cover ups and child degradation !

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is April each year. The change of name needs to happen during April so we can show the victims that the Knox Community acknowledges the abuse they suffered. I would assume there are other tributes to Paterson which should also be removed e.g his portrait in the KG1 building

I wholeheartedly support the renaming of the Paterson Centre for Ethics and Business Studies. Dr Paterson is no longer worthy to have his name associated with Ethics.

Words cannot express the feelings that I have had whilst following the live updates online. How can one be in such denial. The renaming of the centre is paramount. I feel for the victims and their families.

Alan Marsden was a great teacher and as mentioned earlier, taught Business Studies and Economics and was widely respected by everyone. I for one think the disgrace Dr Ian Paterson has wrought upon Knox, should be wiped away so we can remember the victims and help restore the good name of Knox.

Christine Lonsdale - what values would they be? Protect the reputation of the school at all costs? Cover up crimes against children? Attack and denigrate the victims? So much for the 'values' of exclusive private schools.

The boys who were abused and re-traumatised at the school have been through enough. To honour Mr Paterson in this way is a travesty and his name must be removed immediately out of reapect for the boys who were so damaged and betrayed.

The heart of the issue is that whilst we appreciate there were many good teachers at Knox during the time in question, how can we be sure that anyone we may choose to imortalise wasn't complicit by simply looking the other way? Perhaps renaming to the "Knox Grammar Centre for Ethics and Business Studies" is the only logical answer?

Why not call it the Mitchell Centre, after Bill "Mags" Mitchell

I agree Beaky Marsden would be a great choice. On top of his service he was also House Master of Reid which was hard work, at least in my time there (78 - 83).

What a ghastly long period of sexual abuse at the hands of a headmaster/s, whose arrogant disrespect is breath-taking. And now seems endemic across Australian institutions. I am speechless, wary and fearful of this country and its 'citizens'.

I support the victims. Now the truth is out, I hope their lives will, at long last, flourish and that they will feel free, at last.

How about the "Paterson Centre for Elitism, Coverups and Paedophile Protection". That would more accurately reflect the culture of Knox during Paterson's time given the evidence that's emerged..

Paterson never taught Business Studies. The Lawson centre was named after long time PE staff member Bill Lawson how about naming it after Alan Marsden he taught Business Studies and Economics serving Knox for 35 years.

As the mother of 2 young boys I am totally disgusted by what I am seeing at the Royal Commision. My heart bleeds for the young victims. This mans name should be erased from the schools history.
