We support the renaming of Farmer City Recreational Area, aka South Park, to Volunteer Park. South Park is a shining example of what a volunteer effort can accomplish. While locations within South Park, such as Blummer Field and Mike Hendrick's Memorial Playground, should retain their individual names. However, we feel there is no better way to honor the many volunteers that have made South Park possible, then by renaming it "Volunteer Park."
