Rename Fairview Park to Jeffrey T. Aissa Park
On March 17, 2011, seventeen-year-old Jeffrey T. Aissa, lived with his family on Milford Street, on the East Side of Binghamton, NY. On this date, around 3:30 a.m., while the family slept, an individual walked onto the front porch of his home and set the house on fire. At the time the house was occupied by seven people, Jeffrey died in this blaze. The person responsible fled out of State and was not found until March 2023. He was convicted by a jury of our peers and sentenced on November 21, 2025 to twenty years to life in prison for the Murder of Jeffrey and two counts of Arson. This was a random act of violence. The family did not know the person responsible, nor did he know the family. The defendant was feeling sorry for himself as he felt others were happy and he wasn't. We are asking everyone to sign this Petition to rename Fairview Park on the East Side of Binghamton, NY to the Jeffrey T. Aissa Park in memory of this young boy who died a horrendous death. Jeffrey and his siblings played, swam and ran around Fairview Park through out their childhood. Fairview Park is not named after anyone but rather received its' name as it is a fairview of the area. Binghamton never forgets our young who have been victimized. Thank you! The Family of Jeffrey T. Aissa PS: No monetary money is being requested. We just need your signature and your residence as Binghamton, NY. Thank you!
