Gee, renaming the park after a man who poured his heart and soul into improving the city, versus a marauding European invader? Yes. Absolutely.

Colombus never did anything for Boston; whereas we know and respected Menino for who he was for our city!!!

I don't think a park can justify your legacy for this city or this state, but it's a start. Rest in Peace, Mayor Menino, you will be missed.

Our history is something we both own and must aspire to continually improve. Columbus was not a hero, nor did he benefit Boston in the slightest. Let's take this opportunity to reduce the impact of previous mistakes and to honor local and relevant historical truths.

Tom Menino is a far better person to admire than Columbus. Please do what you can to name the park after Tom Menino.

Christopher Columbus was not a nice guy, and never should he have had anything named after him.

Don't like the park is named after Christopher Columbus, would be a nice tribute to the man who helped make the waterfront accessible again

what a wonderful way to commemorate a great leader and stop celebrating celebrating cultural imperialism - two birds one stone!
