I now love in Sydney Australia but want to be included in this petition. It is the least Boston can do to remember a wonderful man.

Tom Menino is the most important Italian American in Boston History. A park that serves as the gateway to the North End and and our proud Italian heritage would be best served as Tom Menino Park.

Let's meet under the arbor in Menino Park. Has a natural ring to it.

As a native New Yorker, I want to recognize the deep impact that Mayor Menino made on the renaissance that Boston has experienced. He helped make Boston the amaxi

Honestly, it's time we move past this Columbus glorification. Sometimes we Italians just love to dig our heels into the wrong side of history, and we need to acknowledge what's right in front of us - Columbus was just another creep looking for recognition at all costs. He certainly never did anything remarkable without doing something equally as despicable on the other end of the moral spectrum. Menino was in office for 20 years, and had about as clean of a record as you can get. Naming this park "Who gives a sh!t park" would be more proper than leaving it named after Columbus.
