The Arthur Miller Theater was opened on March 29, 2007. Information about the mistreatment of his son, Daniel, who has Down Syndrome, surfaced in August of the same year. Having the name of a man who neglected and wanted nothing to do with his son displayed on one of the most prominent buildings on North Campus is wrong. Sign this petition to change the name of Arthur Miller Theater. For more information on Arthur Miller's neglect towards Daniel, visit this website:

Updates

March 28, 2018

The momentum is undeniable now. It is clear that this community expects better than celebrating someone who abandoned his own child.

We are a school of the leaders and the best. Our buildings should be named after the leaders and the best of this institution!

Arthur Miller does not represent the inclusive ideals that the U of M strives to uphold! Change the name and include Daniel!

Our University deserves better. We should be naming our buildings after respectable UMich affiliates

we really should be honoring people who actually care about their own families. this is embarrassing for the arts program.
